From humble beginnings, Jim Berry worked in the construction industry learning to operate heavy equipment of all types. He had a vision that one day, he would start his own business. That vision became a reality in 1979, when Jim and his wife Cindy borrowed $600.00 to help pay expenses of starting the business. With a "beat-up" truck and a worn out mini-sneaker, Jim began to lay cable drops for the local cable television company. Although Jim and Cindy's business started slowly, it never deterred their vision of one day becoming a large scale operation, providing customers with dependable quality service.
The business prospered, and Jim continued to buy more equipment. In 1989, the company incorporated and today employs more than 60 people. Jim Berry Contractor, Inc. currently works in five states, with a willingness to go anywhere the customer requires.
Jim Berry Contractor, Inc. has performed numerous large scale projects along with thousands of smaller routine jobs for Large Telecom Companies, Power Companies, Cable Television Companies, and Oil and Gas Companies.
